OUR CLIENT
Our client, The Academy Transformation Trust, knows that providing the very best education for their learners can transform their life chances. With 22 academies spanning 10 English local authorities, one of their sites, Sun Academy School in Staffordshire, is a Primary academy, aiming to implement a curriculum that allows their pupils to achieve, believe, learn and enjoy.
THE BRIEFING
The school required the removal of the existing boiler and associated pipework, and a new boiler to be installed.
IN THE END
Our team of skilled engineers ensured minimal disruption to the site. The existing faulty Remeha boiler, pipework and flue were isolated and removed, and then a new Baxi Quinta Ace 160kw condensing heating boiler was installed with a shunt pump. A new flue system was added along with a plate heat exchanger, enabling mechanical separation between the
boiler and system.
The heating, gas and water pipework was replaced with new pipework to suit the boilers. New thermal insulation and electrical supplies were installed where required. All equipment was fully tested and commissioned before being handed over to the site. The new boilers allow for a more efficient, cost-effective winter for the school.
