OUR CLIENT
Our client, The De Ferrers Academy, is amongst the top 20 largest schools in England and the largest school in Staffordshire, serving over 2,450 students across three campuses. The school strives to be a place where everyone feels valued, included, and supported.
THE BRIEFING
We were required to be on-site at the De Ferrers Academy to replace two boilers in the Trent Campus. The two existing Hamworthy fleet boilers needed isolating, draining and removing. We then replaced them with two new Hamworthy Stratton Mk3 60kW Gas-Fired Condensing Boilers, along with a new flue system and modifications to the existing pipework to suit the new boilers.
IN THE END
The new boilers have improved efficiency, reliability, and overall performance across the Campus. The installation of the new boilers has delivered enhanced energy efficiency, reducing running costs and lowering carbon emissions in line with the school’s sustainability goals.
With a modern flue system and upgraded pipework in place, the heating system now operates more effectively and provides consistent, dependable warmth throughout the campus. The improved system not only supports a comfortable learning environment for students and staff but also offers greater long-term reliability and easier maintenance, ensuring the academy can continue to focus on delivering an outstanding educational experience.
