IN THE END
When in operation, the CHP will generate enough electricity to power the factory, and any spare capacity will be exported and sold back to the national grid. As well as electricity, the CHP transfers heat to the new boiler, which converts into steam which is also used in the factory. Therefore, the factory is more energy efficient and environmentally friendly.
The cabling, gas detection, and fire alarm system installations contribute to enhanced safety measures and compliance with regulatory standards, ensuring the safety of personnel and equipment.
The HV, LV, and TLV cabling contribute to a reliable and robust electrical infrastructure. This ensures a consistent power supply to the energy centre, minimising downtime and disruptions.
The variable speed drives, isolators and control panels play a vital role in optimising energy consumption. They allow for better control and management of the plant’s operations, potentially leading to energy savings.
The work carried out by FML meets all current regulations and this was confirmed by a NICEIC assessment.
Following completion of the project, Edina commented, “Throughout the project, FM has been professional, accommodating, and the quality of work excellent”.
