M&S Coventry Station

Our Client:

Marks & Spencer was founded in 1884 by entrepreneurs Michael Marks and Thomas Spencer as a stall in Leeds. Now the M&S empire comprises UK and international stores, selling everything from beauty to clothing, food to flowers, and also offers banking and optician services. As new stores are needed or existing stalls require refurbishment, a significant amount of mechanical and electrical work may be needed, so it’s important for the company to select a trusted and skilled company to conduct the work.

The Briefing:

Ford Mainwaring was hired by SSP to design and fit mechanical and electrical systems within a new store based in Coventry. The project was developed with key stakeholders to bring a new offering to Coventry Station and its many users.

We carried out a full mechanical and electrical consultation in the design phase before the project got underway. We worked with SSP and Marks & Spencer in the development stage of the new store to look at the feasibility, budget and design of the mechanical and electrical systems, and then offered expert advice to ensure all parties were happy.

Our team developed the project fully up to starting on-site. We then worked with the main interior fit-out contractor to successfully deliver the project on time and within budget over a short 6-week programme.
