Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust provides specialist mental health, learning disability, and community healthcare services for the population of the Black Country. New Hill House provides mental health services as part of the Trust.

THE BRIEFING

The scope of work to be completed by Ford Mainwaring included the following:

• Remove and dispose of the current Ethos 45 boiler and water cylinder safely.
• Take out the unnecessary flue system.
• Install a new Remeha Quinta 45 Ace heating boiler along with its flue system.
• Adjust pipework for the new boiler and add insulation where needed.
• Set up a new Unvented indirect hot water cylinder, replacing the old one, and connect it with new piping as needed. Include a new unvented kit.
• Make any necessary changes to pipework and re-insulate.
• Fully test and start up the new heating boiler and water heater.
• Verify the system’s functionality, including controls and TRVs.

IN THE END

The new system will offer New Hill House increased reliability, providing consistent heating and hot water supply, which is particularly essential as the colder months approach.
