THE BRIEFING

Ford Mainwaring recently joined forces with Vivo Defence as a subcontractor, bringing a team of multi-skilled, fully vetted mechanical and electrical engineers to support their work in the MOD. Our engineers are known for their expertise in mechanical and electrical PPM and breakdown services across Serco’s prison estate.

At RAF Valley, our engineers were tasked with installing new boilers, heating pumps, flue systems, and a kitchen hot water calorifier. These new gas boilers are more efficient and resilient than those being replaced.

Taking place during winter months, our team faced the challenge of working around the existing system to ensure heating remained operational while new equipment was installed.

CONCLUSION

The project was a success, and our engineers’ excellent performance has led to additional jobs on the same site. We are proud to support Vivo Defence in their mission to modernize the lived experience of our armed forces.
