OUR CLIENT
Amey’s Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust provides a comprehensive mental healthcare service with a range of specialist mental health services to communities that span the West Midlands. The Trust serves a culturally and socially diverse population of 1.3 million spread over 172 square miles. Reservoir Court provides mental health services as part of the Trust.
THE BRIEFING
The scope of work to be completed by Ford Mainwaring included the following:

De-commission and remove the existing water storage tank from the roof space.

Provide and set up a new 1000-litre modular water storage tank within the existing location.

Make necessary changes to the pipework to connect the main cold water supply, outlet water supply, overflow, and early warning pipes.

After the new tank is operational, perform the process of chlorination and neutralisation to ensure it is safe to use.

We repeated the above for the adjacent wing of the facility.

Wrap any newly installed pipes with foil-faced insulation for better efficiency and protection.

IN THE END
Our skilled engineers successfully replaced the existing water storage tanks with a new sectional tanks. Chlorination processes were carried out to ensure safety. Additional tank installation and insulation were completed as well. The project was a success, resulting in an upgraded and functional water storage system for the facility.
