OUR CLIENT
Amey Community manages and maintains critical public infrastructure across sectors like transport, utilities, and social infrastructure.
The site we were brought on to upgrade is The Clink Restaurant at HMP Styal where meals are cooked and served by students in training who are working towards their City & Guilds NVQs. Situated in a converted chapel, the air-conditioned restaurant allows students to learn, engage with the public and take their first steps towards a new life.
THE BRIEFING
We first attended site to fit a replacement sensor pack for the AC unit, but during testing, we discovered that the high-pressure sensor was faulty.
We took a look at the existing system and what our client’s goals were for the site. We then agreed to carry out the following:
- 2x replacement Daikin RZAG140NY1 external condensing units for the main seating area
- These units serve the x2 new Daikin FAA71B wall-mounted AC units above the bar area and 2x above the side seating area
- A new Daikin ARXM71R external condensing unit for the private dining area
- A new electric door curtain at the entrance
- A new AC unit above the private dining area
- New electric panel heaters/radiators throughout.

IN THE END
The restaurant now has an upgraded heating and cooling system which means staff and customers can stay comfortable year-round!
We are also on hand to carry out maintenance and PPMs as needed 24/7.
